Inpatient Stay

When your child is scheduled to stay with us in the hospital, you will be notified about the date of admission etc. If your child has been exposed to a contagious disease, such as chicken pox, mumps, a cold, or is not feeling well, please let us know by calling your doctor at the hospital. Your appointment may need to be re-scheduled. When you arrive at the hospital for admission, you will first need to register. Then, you will be directed to your ward.

Inpatient Registration

Location: General reception desk, 1st floor, Main building Lobby
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During the hospital-stay of your child, one family member may stay with your child in his/her room. Dormitory-style family rooms are also available at reasonable charges in the hospital campus. Kitchenette and bed linens are provided.

What to Bring for a Hospital Stay

To help your child feel more comfortable in an unfamiliar place, we encourage you to bring;

Medications that your child is currently taking & a list of those medications;

Please be advised to label all personal items.

In your room, a sofa-bed is available for your use at daily charge of 324yen. You are, however requested to bring your own bed-linens. Just in case, you can buy them at the hospital shop on the 1st floor. The in-patient room on the ward is essentially for private-use and is equipped with a shower and a toilet.

During your stay, you are provided one security-card per family for your entrance to the ward. A loss or damage of the card is at your own risk and we may charge you reasonable repair fee. We also charge you for the use or supply of those items not covered by the medical insurance. If your child has special electrical medical appliances, such as intravenous or feeding pumps, or monitoring devices, please let us know on your arrival.

Operation of cellular phones is limited in the hospital buildings, particularly within six feet of electrical medical equipment. The security of the personal belongings is by your own responsibility.

Payment Options

You can pay the part of your bill not covered by your insurance with cash or a credit card. Payment with a personal check is not accepted

We understand that it is not easy to stay away from home and familiar surroundings. It is especially true if you are not familiar with the language, culture, and medical systems.
